Da Dick Turpin vendte hjem fra militærtjeneste i Flandern, opdagede han at han var blevet franarret sin arv af en hensynsløs godsejer. Bitter og fattig begav Turpin sig ud på vejene og blev landevejsrøver. Han blandede sig ofte i andres problemer. The Fox - Part One
Turpin and Swiftnick try to help a dying highwayman, Joe Cutler, but they are captured by the sinister Lord Manderfell who offers Turpin the choice of hanging or being hunted like a fox.
The Fox - Part Two
Turpin, near exhaustion and only one step ahead of Lord Manderfell's huntsmen, discovers the secret of the Devil's Chimney and the rightful owner of Joe Cutler's loot.
Blood Money
Turpin and Swiftnick, hotly pursued by the Dragoons, run into their old adversary Sir John Glutton who, with a price on his head for treason, seeks refuge at Rookham Hall where the crafty Isaac Rag has set himself up as Lord of the Manor.
Deadlier Than The Male
Dick Turpin, assisted by Swiftnick, rescues Mary from the hands of Edward Faversham and his accomplices Crabtree and Melford. In revenge Faversham hires Catherine Langford to assist catching Turpin.
The Elixir Of Life
The mysterious Dr Mandragola arrives at The Fox Inn where Turpin and Swiftnick are hiding out. They discover the secret of his famous Elixir of Life but are endangered by some unwelcome guests.
The Thief-Taker
Dick Turpin takes on the mantle of Jeremiah Snare, the famous Thief-taker, to fool Lord Fordingham and trap his dedicated enemy and pursuer Captain Nathan Spiker.
The Judge
The Villagers rights to graze their cattle on common land is threatened when Sir John Glutton decides to enclose it and drive them off. John Radstock, a smallholder faces a trumped up charge but Turpin is determined that Justice shall be done.
Sentence of Death - Part One
The King's young cousin from Germany, is the only one to escape an attack by the cruel and spiteful highwayman Barnaby Husk. He runs into the woods and stumbles upon Isaac Rag who leads him to 'the Fox'.
Sentence of Death - Part Two
Barnaby Husk seems struck by plague and is considered deadly ill. He takes Maggot Poll by surprise and escapes from 'the Fox' with Rupert as hostage.
The Godmother
Sir John Glutton receives a visit from his Godmother, the Duchess of Durham. In order to be her heir Sir John has makes her believe he is married - although he is a stubborn bachelor.
The Secret Folk
Captain Spiker hunts Turpin and Swiftnick into a forest where they encounter the secret Romany folk.
The King's Shilling
Captain Willard and his helper Newell, recruit two young men to the King's Army by tricking them to receive a shilling each as assistants in a betting game. Swiftnick liberates them and Willard wants revenge.
The Hanging
Turpin and Swiftnick try to help a mysterious farmer's wife after saving her from a gang of footpads but they are led into a trap by Nathan Spiker. |
